If the cheque has to come from within India, it should not take more than 1 or 2 weeks, but it has to come from abroad, it may take 1 month or so.

What they do is make backlinks and then Google detects them and then their page rank increases. Eventually they get to the #1 spot on the Google search, that is pretty much the jackpot right there.
