Why is my credit card not working when I tried to pay some membership fee online? It was a clickbank.net?

I have tried a couple of times to pay for it via the internet using my credit card but it just really won’t work, it will always come out as:
Unable to authorize.
Please make corrections and try again,
or try using a different card.

Why is that? I have called the customer service of my bank, and checked whether it wasn’t activated but it was.

I’m trying to pay some membership fee for an internet-based job? What doesn’t seem to be working, my card? Then, if it’s my card, what might I have done wrong. I have checked the card number many times, and I’ve always typed it right. Or is it their website?

By the way, I’m using my mother’s card. It’s an international card.

Answer:

Probably because it’s an international card. Most sites check the address you enter against the billing address on the credit card, if they don’t match, then the transaction is declined. International card issuers cannot perform this address validation.
